Centenary Re-enactment of 1917 Egg Throwing Incident

The Southern Downs Steam Railway is putting on a centenary re-anactment of the 1917 incident when then Prime Minister Billy Hughes had an egg thrown in his face.

SDSR Egg Throwing Incident Re-enactment 2017The event will take place at the Warwick Railway Station on Saturday, November 18th 2017. Gold Coin entry fee, everyone welcome.

There will be vintage cars and motor bikes, peopel in period costumes, the 11th Light Horse Warwick Troop, heavy horse and carts and more.

The main event starts on the railway platform at 1.00PM.

There will be a return steam train trip from Warwick to Clifton, historic memorabilia displays, a history seminar, a Rotary BBQ and a Dinner with live music.
